Woodland Swimmers is a fictional children's museum
exhibit based on unified set of 9 icons.
Basing the grid off of symmetry and circles, this created a lot of
basic design elements that could be carried throughout each
referent. This included the ellipse at the bottom of each, representing water, giving each symbol unity. Using the same line weight and a lot of the same curves in each icon helped join the set together as well.
To inform children of the types of animals that live in lakes and ponds. By the end of the exhibit the child should know each animals habitat, what they eat, and their physical attributes.
A campaign that will be applied to a children’s museum exhibit. This will include hands on activities and exhibits to inform children from
ages 4-10 about the animals that live in
woodland lake areas.
Give interest to the children’s museum and also to the city of Cincinnati.
Give children something educational
to be excited about.
Educate children on animals that live in lake/woodland areas and the environment
they live in.
After the initial creation of the icons we were to apply them in a successful way. Below you will see how the icon set is applied to create a children's museum exhibit titled, Woodland Swimmers
